“Art is a way that an artist expresses themselves. The observers are the continuation of the art!”

Cemre S. Koccat

Vision

We can only know our world from our own perception and my vision is to reveal the depths of my subconscious and may it be a gateway into yours.

Mission

I am fascinated by the power of the mind!  I enjoy tapping into my subconscious and creating the art that has come into my focus.

Art comes from deep inside my soul and it is much more than just a thought! I feel it has a purpose and a voice. It is my mission to dive in further to my subconscious. I want the observer to feel a sense of oneness when looking at one of my creations. Art simply should give a unique sense of feeling to each and every one of us.

ANNA

This was a commissioned painting of a girl called Anna by her father. I had a one to one conversation with Anna to find out a little about her and this allowed me to create a painting about her. The painting typically carries my style of painting and features one of my particular fruits that I seem to be include in my other paintings too; which are the grapes. However the painting says much more about her like the piano dripping out the door in the sky. Whilst Anna played her violin alongside her mother would accompany her. The dream like door is always open like a distant memory imbedded into her life. The door and the dove represent her mother who has unfortunately passed away and gone to heavens but her spirit is near her and home. The grapes are one of her favourite fruits but I love including grapes in my paintings because it was a big part of my childhood.  I still remember my mum a planting the 12 vine trees and my dad building the metal support for them.  It also represents sweetness, strength and fragility, very much like the white lily in the painting.

Anna loves to write and I show this in the painting with a type writer in the left corner of the painting. The piano keyboards and the black and white tiles have been woven together perhaps to show her strong foundation with her mother and the strong bond between her father, sister and brother. There she is in the middle of all those thoughts and memories that wraps her with a green scarf and the reality of it all.

She expresses herself through her paintings and sculptures. Using playful colours Cemre captures such emotions that resemble sadness and happiness while full of thought. Observers are mostly attracted to the mystery of this dreamlike world.

Cemre is now a full time artist and her focus is to transfer her subconscious vision of art on to her paintings and her sculptures. She is also writing a book on decoding the messages that are coming forward in her paintings combining this with the psychology aspect of the mind.
